Morning Blend 4 April, 2013

We break the news about the morning’s tragic aviation accident in Mayaguana. Three people were killed when a plane crashed into their vehicles while it was being used to light the runway on the island’s airport. We speak briefly with Inspector Sean Thompson in Mayaguana.

Also, Jeanne Thompson, a former leader of the Opposition in the Senate, says it’s time for the Senate to be abolished. We get her views on why, and whether anything can be done to restore the integrity of the Upper Chamber.

Plus, we discuss the raucous and rowdy Electrical Workers Union demonstration outside BEC Headquarters, and the calls for Executive Chairman Leslie Miller to be removed.
