Morning Blend 27 June, 2013

With so many students graduating high school not knowing what they will do next, Dr. Jill Farrell, Associate Dean at Barry University, talks about what parents can do to steer their children toward career paths for the future, including encouraging internships and volunteerism – before and immediately after graduation.
We also discuss what parents can do during summer breaks to ensure students don’t forget everything they learned during the school year.

Also, Arawak Homes is launching “Premier Estates”, which it says represents “a novel housing solution”. Marketing representative Chakita Archer tells us about the special premium features of the homes in the new subdivision. The official launch and open house is set for 10am to 2pm, Saturday, June 29, at Premier Estates, off Faith Avenue. For directions and more information, log on to www.arawakhomes.com

“In The News”, we discuss the “amazing” comments made by some politicians this week. And we get reaction to the government’s proposed National Training Agency.
