Meanwhile, the govt.’s VAT Coordinator admits that he has not been able to afford to pay his real property taxes for at least a decade. Ishmael Lightbourne telling The Nassau Guardian he understands “the hypocrisy and contradiction”, and that this “has been a major source of pain and discomfort.”
