2015/16 Chevening Scholarship recipient Theominique Nottage joins us to talk about the prestigious award. She is the sole Bahamian, along with 11 scholars from Jamaica, who will receive financial support to study for a Master’s Degree in the UK.

Deputy High Commissioner Julia Sutherland with the British High Commission in Kingston, Jamaica, also joins us LIVE via telephone to tell us Theominique – who is a lawyer (with a Bachelor of Law with Honours from UWI), and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Spanish – was selected based on her strong display of leadership, and her commitment to the country’s growth and development.

Bahamian Gospel Artist Landlord brings a new show to @guardianradio96; “Caribbean & Urban American Gospel Hits” is a blend of talk and music. Each week Landlord teams up with U.S. Gospel Radio Personality, Mike D, to interview some of the biggest American, Bahamian and Caribbean Gospel Artists, and to showcase the newest and hottest Gospel Hits. The premiere show will feature Landlord & Mike D interviewing the legendary Shirley Caesar, regarded as the “First Lady of Gospel Music”.
“Caribbean & Urban American Gospel Hits” premieres Sunday, September 6, at 2:30pm.
