As today, December 3, is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we discuss the challenges facing disabled people in The Bahamas, including building inaccessibility and discrimination. Guests Townsley Roberts and Kayleasha Rolle, share their personal struggles as disabled persons, along with Sheila Culmer, President, Bahamas National Council for Disability, and Teacher Gloria Gibson. Also, 10-year old Raphion Adderley reads his plea for The Bahamas to do more to assist disabled persons in the country.
We also discuss educating children with special needs with Dr. Michelle Major with Caribbean Centre for Child Development, and Dr. Jill Farrell with Barry University.
