Lupus Bahamas 242 Association President Shanelle Brennen is a Lupus Warrior! She shares with us her battle with this autoimmune disease. Her Vice President, Shonalee Johnson, who is also her sister, tells us about some of the Lupus awareness activities this month, including “World Lupus Day in The Bahamas” on Friday, for which everyone is being encouraged to wear purple.

Also, two weeks from today, the exhibition soccer game between the Tottenham Hotspurs out of the UK and the Jamaica National Football Team will take place right here in Nassau at the new Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium. Virginia Kelly, General Manager of Sports Tourism Development, Ministry of Tourism, and Dr. Tyrone McKenzie, Vice President, Albany, tell us about the significance of this game that is part of the country’s 40th Anniversary of Independence Celebrations, the benefits to tourism, and the hundreds of thousands of dollars in upgrades to the stadium field.
