The ‘Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic’ is set for Ocean Club Golf Course at Atlantis Paradise Island May 20-26. Emily Palazio is with Global Golf Management, the coordinators of the event. Palazio and Virgina Kelly, General Manager of Sports Tourism Development with the Ministry of Tourism, tell us that over 100 of the world’s top-ranked professional women golfers (including number one ranked Inbee Park of South Korea) will be participating in this high stakes tournament, with its $1.3 million dollar purse. While Golf Channel will provide LIVE coverage of final rounds, the event is free to spectators. It’s also free to volunteers, with positions still available.
