Morning Blend 20 June, 2013

Are Bahamian men now an oppressed and marginalized minority in this country? Our guest Dr. Robin Roberts thinks so. In today’s ‘Men’s Week’ discussion, Dr. Roberts says a new “men’s movement” is urgently needed to rescue today’s men, before they fall behind even further.

Also, the new show “The Kreyol Connection” premieres tonight on Guardian Radio. Host Louby Georges says the bilingual show will examine issues affecting the Haitian community in The Bahamas. Georges also discusses the criticism he, the show and the station have already received about the program. It airs LIVE every Thursday 7:30pm to 9pm on 96.9FM.

And “In The News”, we discuss overcrowding at the Fox Hill Prison, bail and the judicial system, and the calls for the closure of cash for gold type businesses.
