Morning Blend 25 June, 2013

Our Bahamian “dialect” is actually considered “Bahamian Creole English” by linguists. We have an eye-opening discussion on language with Dr. Chanti Seymour, Assistant Professor in the School of English Studies at College of The Bahamas, along with Guardian Radio Host Stephen Hanna, a former English Major, Deandra Dorsette, English Education Major, and Elaine Fenelus, English Major with a Minor in Linguistics.

Also, “In The News”, we discuss the shooting of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Aide, the giant fire at a New Providence auto body shop that sent smoke billowing over the island, and the Prime Minister’s decision not to appear before the Constitutional Commission.
