Morning Blend 21 October, 2013

Dr. Alia Campbell with the Centre for Specialized Dentistry presents a less than gleaming picture of the state of nation’s collective teeth. We talk with her about oral health care and the most prevalent dental issues and concerns in the country today.

We discuss the Police Commissioner’s comments on the 12-hour shift system and the ongoing complaints from the Police Staff Association about the lack of compensation for the extra hours.
And reaction to the government deleting the provision from the proposed Gaming Bill that would have allowed permanent residents and work permit holders (but not citizens) to gamble in casinos.
Plus, Tourism Minister Obie Wilchcombe says the government did not pay those gaming consultants millions of dollars, but rather, “hundreds of thousands”.
