Author Ken Tucker says only “5% separates you from the rest of the world”. In his book, “Your Intentional Difference”, he says we all need to identify this “magical” quality that distinguishes us from everyone else, master it, and use it to positively impact creativity and productiveness. Tucker – a Bahamian who now lives abroad as a consultant, advisor and motivational speaker- says “you are not an accident.”
Rachel Rolle, Director, Island Human Resources, explains that Tucker’s sound advice is the reason he was invited to speak in their first in a series of seminars designed to motivate business professionals to realize their full potential.

The 2nd Annual ‘Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic’ is just one- month away. The event has been moved up to January to avoid getting too close to the rainy season, which threatened to wash away the tournament last May. With its new date, January 20-26 at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island, the event now kicks off the LPGA season. The event will be broadcast LIVE on Golf Channel for the 4 days of play.
Emily Palazio with Global Golf Management, which is coordinating the event, and Neda Brown, Public Relations Officer with the US Embassy, tell us they are looking for volunteers for the tournament, which is expected to attract some of the world’s top female golfers.
