August 19, 2014: Nassau has earned the dubious distinction of being named the 10th UNFRIENDLIEST city in the world! Luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler posed the question as part of its annual Readers’ Choice Survey. Readers apparently feel Nassau is “unsafe” outside the tourist areas. Nassau shares the list with 7 European cities, and is only 7 points behind #1 ranked Johannesburg, South Africa, as the most unfriendly city on the planet. We talk with Life Coach and Motivational Speaker Michelle Miller about how we got to this point, and why we strayed so far from the long-held image as one of the friendliest destinations on Earth. Miller also discusses the tough questions that need to be asked and answered, and the mindset shift urgently needed to reverse this disturbing trend.
