‪#‎MorningBlend‬ on February 17, 2015: We speak with members of some of the Junkanoo Carnival groups. Active and vocal Junkanoos Patrick Adderley and Chandra Newry with the Karisma Bahamas Carnival Group, and Angelique McKay with Junkanoo Commandoes Carnival Group respond to claims that the Carnival will hurt Junkanoo, to calls for the resources being spent on the event to be used on crime-fighting and social programs, and to criticisms about the skimpiness of the Junkanoo Carnival Costumes.
Our guests say their companies have a number of more conservative costume options.
They also give their views on the number of companies, and the ability of the the companies to make money.
Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival is set for May 7-9 in Nassau.
