#‎MorningBlend‬ on January 27, 2015: A fiery K.B. @KirklandBodie shares his passionate views on Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival. He responds to the latest controversies, including this past week’s resignations of three members of the Bahamas Festival Commission, reports that the govt. was prepared to pay almost $2 million to get Janet Jackson as the headline act, and the Christian Council’s statement that Carnival encourages “promiscuity, fortification, rape, incest, and other sins on the flesh”!
K.B. has repeatedly stated he hopes the Junkanoo Carnival fails, as it appears it will stray too far from Bahamian culture. He does, however, give us his suggestions on how the event’s image can be salvaged.
