It is a weekly program focusing on social issues affecting “urban” communities in New Providence, as well as the history and concerns of residents in those areas.

We analyze the Freedom of Information Bill 2015. Lisa Benjamin, Asst. Professor with the LLB program at College of The Bahamas, is also on the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) Working Committee. She gives her overall assessment of the Bill, which she feels is a significant improvement over the previous FOIA – which was passed in Parliament but never enacted. Benjamin also discusses some of her concerns with the current Draft Bill.
The Bill is now available for public consultation. Comments can be sent to the Office of the Attorney General. Email attgcustomerservice@bahamas.gov.bs.
