#‎MorningBlend‬ on February 25, 2015: Travis, with the Nassau Guardian, joins us LIVE in studio, and Nazima, with Guyana’s Insight Magazine, joins us LIVE via telephone from Georgetown, Guyana. They both participated in a US Department of State-sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program focused on investigative journalism between Nov. 17 and Dec. 5, 2014. They were among 20 media professionals selected from around the world, and visited several US cities and media operations.
Travis and Nazima talk about the challenges with investigative journalism in The Bahamas and Guyana, including limited access to information, and a lack of support for such investigations from civil society.
