Consumers are being warned about flood-damaged vehicles. Following the record-breaking rainfall and widespread flooding in New Providence last month, Dwaine Scavella, Bahamas Auto Repairs Association (BARA), warns potential car buyers that it may not be easy to tell whether a vehicle has had flood damage. He also warns vehicle importers that many parts of the US and Canada have seen flooding this year as well, and those flood-damaged vehicles could be waking their way to this country. Scavella says BARA is creating a database of flood-damaged vehicles for insurance companies. He also talks about the need for a national vehicle title registry.
