The Bahamas and all its glory cannot be confined to the singular date. How did we get to that point in 1973? What happened between then and now?! How do we know who we are as Bahamians if we do not have a proper understanding of our history? ! People tend to replace events of the past with folk lore and mythology, that the Bahamas is and has always been paradise, over looking the hardships suffered and overcome by this country’s inhabitants.if we listen to history, can we learn about ourselves?
What can history teach us? Why is our history almost hidden from us?
