Morning Blend 3 March, 2014

Today on MORNING BLEND:

Cherrylee Pinder with CP Training and Consulting Services says it’s time for women to embrace all career opportunities and try to truly understand the pitfalls of entrepreneurship. She tells Dwight and guest co-host Pamela Musgrove that the upcoming “Who Moved My Cheese – for Women” seminar will help women effectively utilize social media and networking as effective promotional tools. The seminar is set for Saturday, March 15 from 9am-Noon. Registration is $50. Call 393-4551 to register or visit cherryleepinder.com or CP Training and Consulting Services on Facebook.

“In The News”, Bahamas Faith Ministries International President Dr. Myles Munroe says the prime minister should replace Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell because Mitchell “does not represent the majority of the convictions of the Bahamian people”. This comes after Mitchell’s speech in Trinidad and Tobago in which he said his own political career has suffered as a result of his stance on LGBT issues, and that the gay rights issue is one of the most contentious facing the CARICOM region. Munroe says Mitchell should keep his personal opinions and agendas to himself.
We also discuss the continuing firestorm on real property taxes.

And our “Quote of the Week”.
