Morning Blend w/ Dwight Strachan 16 April, 2015

The first ever “Girls In ICT Day Bahamas” is set for April 23. The initiative, which aims to encourage more girls and women to consider careers in ICT (information, communication & technology), will bring together local industry giants BTC and Cable Bahamas, in partnership with industry regulator, URCA.
Mavis Johnson Collie with URCA, Pauline Seymour with BTC, and Teneile Simmons with Cable Bahamas, talk about the opportunities in the sector, and give us details about next week’s event. Some 100 female senior high school students from throughout New Providence will participate in a day of special seminars at the British Colonial Hilton in Nassau. It all begins at 8am.
